With the sad news that our longest-serving team member Lewis is leaving the nest after more than seven years, we're looking for a new superstar barista/sales assistant to join us on a part-time basis.
The role comprises 12-15 hours a week. Weekend availability is essential, with the occasional weekday shift too, if desired.
Barista experience in specialty coffee is preferred - while we'll provide training in how we do things at HB&B, in an ideal world, you'll be familiar with professional speciality coffee machines (ours is a 2 Group La Marzocco Linea Classic) and ready to hit the ground running, confident of making great coffee every time in an often high-paced environment.
Great customer service skills are also essential plus an interest in the products we sell, especially craft beer and wine. (We'll also teach you to love hot sauce if you don't already.)
Our ideal candidate will be local to our SE London outlets. You'll need to work well as part of a team and be capable of opening the store in the mornings and working sole charge on occasion, so reliability is key. A friendly personality and great sense of humour is a given!
The start date is ~23 September (we can be flexible). We are a London Living Wage employer - our current base rate for this position is £11.05, with a higher rate for sole charge shifts.
